I’m still just continuing along my merry way. My randomly invented pattern is unbroken thus far. Today was Figure Drawing Thursday and it seems that routine is now very firmly ingrained in me. I dutifully brought out my Mr. Mannequin and invited him to pose for me. I tried to coax him into doing some stretches but this was about the best he could manage for me today. I really do need to try to get him enrolled in some yoga classes at some point. He’s just so terribly stiff. Poor guy.
My marker is still running rather low on ink but I’m dragging it out as long as I can. I gave the shading a shot with it anyway and overall I don’t think it turned out too bad. The lighting wasn’t exactly the best for today’s sketch so I did have a bit of trouble picking out the shadows. I’m still not sure that I have the firmest grasp on them but I suppose that’s one of those things that will come with practice. Now I think I’m going to go collapse in bed though. I had a long day and my eyes are starting to droop.
Yay! Love your mannequin drawings! And LOL at your comment about him being stiff. 🙂

I often complain about how unflexible he is. I figure he must be a stiff old man. I’m sure it’s not his fault.

As someone who has reached the age where every dang body part creaks with stiffness, I feel for your mannequin and know for sure it’s not his fault. 😀

At least he’s giving his toes a workout…good balance! (K.)

This is true! What he lacks in flexibility he makes up for in balance I suppose. Unless I try to move him off his center of gravity that is …
