Well, so much for my sense of proportion improving. I’m really not happy with this one. I’m going to blame the lack of sleep … again. Okay, so I can’t honestly say that a lack of sleep resulted in this poorly proportioned sketch. It did however make me too tired to try for a better sketch to make up for the bad one. Sadly this is all I’ve got in me for today. Clearly I started at the wrong place again with this one.
This disproportionate sketch was once again based on a random photo from Something To Draw. Sadly I once again refreshed the page without thinking so I can’t credit the photographer. You’ll just have to take my word for it that the photo was in fact very nice and of a perfectly lovely and well proportioned woman.
Oh well, I will just have to keep trying. Eventually I’ll get it right. Just not today.
Looks good to me.

Thank you. I suppose it’s a good thing you can’t see the reference photo to prove you wrong 🙂

I like it too! I’m glad I don’t post my reference photos anymore (unless I’m trying to credit a photographer I know). Boy I hope you start feeling better. I’ve been there and done it too many times with sleep trouble and tiredness. Keeping a detailed food diary with symptoms is helping me slowly get rid of the foods (in my case) that were causing trouble. I really like this drawing! Her expression and the style you’ve drawn her go together well!

Thank you. I’m glad you liked it.
I really need to make more of an effort to get a proper food diary going at some point. I’ve tried a few times but always just end up getting frustrated and confused.

I paid for one once, it was basically date and time on one side, food eaten and then to the right the symptoms. And then some foods cause delayed reactions which I’ve seen up to 2-3 days later. And also good to record BM’s. Not to be gross lol. I hope you find your answer. I know how frustrating it can be.

Yeah, the delayed reactions are what started confusing me. I really do need to get scientific about it at some point though. Stop trying to work it out as I go and start just logging the facts judgement-free and then reviewing once I have some solid information to go on.

Yup. It’s a bit of a pain until it becomes second nature. I bought a small composition book for the purpose so it’s all in one place.

Nice. Yeah, I just need to figure out a system that works for me and stick to it. I have trouble forming new habits but it’s definitely worth doing.

I think she’s a good reflection of your feelings (at least as you verbalize them)…she needs some sleep too!
