Day 1: January 1, 2015

2015: The Year of the Zombie
The zombie invasion begins!

It is now January 1st, 2015, the arbitrarily assigned date that marks the start of a brand new calendar year.

As you can see my art skills currently leave much to be desired.  Well there’s only one thing I can do to fix that … practice, practice, practice … and probably practice some more.  So with this in mind one of my new years resolutions for 2015 is to do one sketch a day throughout the year.  To keep myself honest I’m going to post all of those crappy sketches right here!  … I’m really sorry about that … you may want to avert your eyes.

Hopefully my sketches will slowly improve throughout the year and I will be able to use this site to monitor my progress!  That’s the optimistic version.  My more pessimistically inclined self says that more likely my sketches will deteriorate further into shoddy stick figures as I half-assedly throw them in at the last minute just to meet the quota.  Well I suppose we’ll just have to see, won’t we *scowl*.

Today’s sketch definitely falls into the shoddy thrown together category.  Way to start the year on the right foot self! … Oh well, at least it can only go up from here, right?  My husband has decided that 2015 is the year of the zombie.  He was telling everyone that was still living in 2014 that they should watch out because as soon as 2015 hits zombies begin to appear outside.  So this is one of the zombies roaming the lawn outside the house in search of brains.  Luckily he hasn’t gotten to us yet.  If my sketches of the day suddenly stop appearing feel free to assume that he got me and ate my brains.  It’s the only possible explanation!
